Eva was born in Illischestie, Bukovina, Austria (now Illisesti, Romania). She and her brother William were twins. Eva was married to Jacob Armbruster, jr. Together they had four children: Johanna Katharina "Jennie", Anna, Christian Jacob, and Barbara.

The following Obituary is compliments of member Mary Schartz (49453776):

From the Stockton Review (Stockton, KS) - April 4, 1912 - page 8 -

Mrs. Jake Armbruster fell from a wagon Wednesday evening and broke her neck from which she died almost instantly. Mrs. Armbruster had been after hay and on her way home stopped at the home of her brother-in-law, Ed Armbruster, and after visiting a short time climbed into the wagon preparatory to going home. In reaching for the lines she became over-balanced and fell to the ground breaking her neck. Dr. N Kidd was called but could do no good when he arrived [at] the home which is 13 miles northwest of Ellis. Mrs. Armbruster leaves a husband and a number of children to mourn her death. - Ellis Review
