Frederick Clinton ALDERFER, 63, of 212 Fulton Ave., died at 2:20 a.m. today shortly after being admitted to Woodlawn Hospital. He had been in failing health for five years. He was born Jan. 12, 1921 in Rochester to Carl and Ruth AULT ALDERFER, who preceded in death. He lived here his entire life. He was married on June 30, 1949 in Rochester to Elizbeth G. DAVIDSON, who survives. A truck driver, he retired in 1982 from Morry's Ready-Mix. He attended the Church of God, Rochester. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the European Theater during World War I. Surviving with the wife are three sons, Richard [ALDERFER], Leiters Ford; Charles [ALDERFER[, Etna Green, and Stephen [ALDERFER], Warsaw; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. William (Jessie) ARMSTRONG, Mexico; Mrs. Earl (Ruby) THOMPSON and Mrs. Mary BRUCE, both of Mentone, and Mrs. Richard (Phyllis) GRIMES, Tippecanoe; six brothers, Myron [ALDERFER], Rochester; Earl [ALDERFER], Fort Wayne; Merle [ALDERFER], Laketon; Clyde [ALDERFER], Mentone; Wayne [ALDERFER], Cromwell, and Howard [ALDERFER], Warsaw. A brother, Lloyd [ALDERFER], was killed in the Korea War. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester with the Rev. C.J. MOWRER officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to the hour of services on Monday. The Rochester American Legion Post and the Manitou VFW Post will conduct military graveside rites.
