Charles Edward "Eddie" Britt, Jr., age 56 of Nederland, Texas died November 19, 2011 at Christus Hospital Saint Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas.

Eddie was born August 15, 1955 in Port Arthur, Texas and lifelong resident of Nederland. He was the son of Ida Lee Ratcliff Britt and Charles Edward Britt, Sr. He was a registered nurse in occupational health and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

An extremely loving husband, brother, son, father and grandfather, Eddie had a passion for life that was rivaled by few. When he did ANYTHING, he did the absolute best he could and he did it well. He was a go-to guy, for everyone, and he loved that. He loved his wife and his family with all the passion he could muster and he mustered a lot. Yet, it pales in comparison to what his family feels for him. He is irreplaceable, incomparable, and he will be missed every single day.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Britt of Nederland, daughter, Andrea Fratus and her husband, Michael of Beaumont, son, Dustin Britt and his wife, Amy of Beaumont, sister, Debbie Hanley and her husband Reggie of Nederland, brother, Tony Britt and his wife Joann of Nederland and grandchildren, Isabela and Lawson Fratus and Phelan and Channing Britt.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be 2pm Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Broussard's, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
