Ida Lee Britt, of Nederland, passed away at Park Place Medical Center in Port Arthur.

Born on Christmas day in Brookhaven, Mississippi to Carlos and Mary Lou Ratcliff, Ida was a proud graduate of Lloyd Star High School in Brookhaven in 1953.

She had lived in Nederland since 1955 and was a retired bookkeeper with Retail Merchants Association in Port Arthur. She was also a homemaker, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Ida attended Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland where she was past president of the Women's Missionary Union and several other committees' at the church she devoted so much time to.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Shelby Ratcliff.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Britt, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Hanley and husband Reggie; sons, Charles E. Britt, Jr. and wife Christina and Anthony C. Britt, Sr. and his wife Joann; son-in-law, Bobby Morris; sisters, Iva Pearl Golman, Juanita Coone, Betty Lofton, Linda Weathersby and Margie Falvey; ten grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

Ida was looking forward to the arrival of her two expectant great-grandchildren and the marriage of two grandchildren this year.

Services will be at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland with Rev. Bryan Webb and Rev. Elvin Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
