Correspondence from Napa State Hospital, dated July 2, 1998 states in part "Our records indicate that Mr. Benton died on July 28, 1935 and was cremated by our facility. His cremains were interred at our facility until October 29, 1968 when all cremated remains were transferred to Napa Valley Memorial Park, located at 2383 Napa-Vallejo Highway, for disposition."
