LYONS - Mrs. Bertha Poland, 65, died Friday at Rice County District Hospital, Lyons, after a long illness. Born Sept. 11, 1899, at Lyons, she married Everett Poland Dec. 22, 1919, at Hutchinson. She lived here all her life.
Member: Presbyterian Church, Lyons.
Survivors: the widower; daughters, Mrs. Virginia Loutzenhiser, Mitchell; Mrs. Dorothy Byard, Lyons; brothers, Fred, Robert, Carl, Herman and Albert Schwartz, all of Lyons; sister, Mrs. Amelia Chew, Topeka; four grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p. m. Monday, Crawford-Miller Mortuary, Lyons; Rev. Stanley Tyner. Burial: Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Call: 7-9 p.m. Sunday, at the mortuary.
