In fact, a woman named Imogene Maclin was a former neighbor Beulah Florence Veal in Bridgeport, Tx. Later Mrs. Veal's neighbor moved to Tennessee. Reba accompanied Beulah Florence to visit her former neighbor's home in Tennessee.
On the obverse side of Imogene Maclin's birth certificate, her father's name was recorded as Asa 'Edward' Veal. Asa Edwin often went by 'Ed' and his middle name was recorded on his own birth certificate as 'Edwin'. so, this error on Imogene's birth certificate was probably made by someone who thought that 'Ed' was short for 'Edward'.
