Bio
I was born in Fort Worth, Texas in 1948 to Houston L Veal and Nellie (Belshe) Veal.
I attended 1st and 2nd grade in Fort Worth at EM Daggett Elementary School on College at Elizabeth Blvd.
I attended 3rd-12th grades in the Azle Independent School District in Azle, Texas, graduating in 1966.
I attended Tyler Jr. College for the 2 years provided. Received my diploma from TJC in 1968. I learned the art of programming a computer at TJC. I made a near 30-year career with that education. Retiring in 1996.
In the fall of 1966 I met Carol Ann Evans.
We dated for about a year, and married in December 1967. We were married for 42 1/2 very happy years. Carol died June 21, 2010 after valiantly battling stage 3A breast cancer for 8 years.
Our son, Michael Lee, was born Oct. 15, 1970 at Lyster Army Hospital on Fort Rucker, Alabama, while I was stationed there from Mar 1969 - Dec 1970.
In 2000, Carol and I moved to San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato Mexico. Carol and I made our home here together for nearly 10 years. For the foreseeable future, I will remain here in Mexico. We loved living here together. Though nothing is the same without her physical presence, I'm slowly adapting. I now tell folks, "I'll never be 100% again, but I get better everyday."
Belshe family hails Chamal, Tamaulipas Mexico (my mother); before that Greer County Okla.; before that from Locust Mound (Miller County) Missouri, before that Montecello (Wayne County) Kentucky; before that Tazwell County, Virginia and then a jump across the pond to England.
Veal family hails from Madison County Georgia; before that Virginia; before that England.
