MIDLAND -- Lee Tracy Norris, 69, of Midland, formerly of Aspermont, passed away Saturday at an Odessa hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2004 at First Baptist Church in Aspermont, officiated by Rev. Jason Covington with burial to follow in the Aspermont Cemetery, directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont.
Mr. Norris was born in Hamlin, Texas, he married Thelma Faye Wilson May 6, 1955 in Swenson, Texas. She preceded him in death September 17, 2001. Mr. Norris graduated from Hardin-Simmons University and received his Masters from Sul Ros university. Mr. Norris taught in the Texas public school system for 43 years. He was a football coach as well as basketball and track. He also taught history and was a guidance counselor.
Survivors include his mother, Nancy Norris of Swenson; daughter, Suzanne Ramey of Reimstein AFB, Germany; son, Ronnie Norris of Midland; sister, Nan Campbell of Odessa; and four grandchildren.
