James Edward Gregg was born in Havre, Montana in 1918. Shortly after James was born, his family headed to the northern slope of Alaska and lived in "Barrow" formerly called, "Point Barrow". It was here, that his sister Virginia was born in 1919. James Edward Gregg Jr. was murdered in Alaska in 1967 and he was laid to rest in Butte, Montana where his family had made their home for decades.
