LUBBOCK - G.W. "Buddy" Ramsel, 78, formerly of Winters, died Wednesday in a local hospital.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bowman Chapel of Lubbock First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Wiseman officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery in Winters with the Rev. Don Roath officiating, directed by Rix Funeral Directors.
Mr. Ramsel was born in Winters and graduated from Winters High School and Texas A&M University. He served with the U.S. Army's 18th Field Artillery Battalion and moved to Lubbock in 1952. He worked as a builder and realtor. He started Buddy Ramsel Construction in 1960 and operated it until retiring in 1987. He married Carl Lesta Davis in 1962 in Dallas and was a past president of Lubbock Home Builders Association. He was a member of the Rafters Class at First United Methodist Church.
