Mrs. A. E. Gowen, age 52, passed away on Monday October 17, 1927 in the Spencer Hospital. She was taken to the hospital on Saturday and operated on for appendicitis.
Nettie moved with her parents to Alta where she lived until she was eighteen years of age, then moved to Clay County in Iowa.
Mrs. Gowen was well known in the community in which she had resided for so long.
She was a devoted mother and wife.
Interment in Garfield Cemetery.
