Mrs. Delilah Achenbach, 65, wife of Emanuel Achenbach, 3316 Oakland avenue NE, died at her home at 6:45 p.m. Saturday following a long illness. Born in Cedar Bluff, Iowa, February 5, 1879, she came to Cedar Rapids in February 1943, and was a former resident of Center Point and Walker.
Surviving are five children, Mrs. Amber Truman, Montezuma, Mrs. Burdette Huston, Cedar Rapids; Harold, Coggon; Lloyd, Tipton, and Paul at home; a brother, George Zerbee of Cedar Rapids, and 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted in the Beatty chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Grant Anderson. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel.
