R. M. Chappell, Father of our N. R. Chappell, died last Friday night at the home of his son-in-law Mid McWhorter of Tabor, Brazos County, and was buried Saturday afternoon in the Alexander Cemetery.
Mr. Chappell was 87 years of age, and was well known to many of our citizens here. He was feeble from advanced age, and was taken with pneumonia about a week before, which soon caused his death. He leaves one brother in Georgia, and of his children only two remain, his son here and a son in Rosebud.
