Floyd Lee Efird, 75, of the Cottonville community, passed away Friday morning, November 4, 2011 at CMC-Northeast.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, November 6,2011 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Alex Willoughby will officiate and interment will follow in Cottonville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Efird was born March 12, 1936 to the late Grady and Mary Floyd Efird. He was a retiree of Tuscarora Yarns of Mount Pleasant.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gary, Lewis and William Efird.

He is survived by his companion, Frances; one son, Douglas Efird of Albemarle and one daughter, Darlene McGee of Rock Hill, SC; four brothers, Gene and Jack Efird of Norwood, Price Efird of Albemarle and Harvell Efird of Cheraw.SC; two sisters, Cassie Eddins of Cheraw, SC and Judy Morton of Albemarle.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.
