NORWOOD: Mrs. Mary Jane Floyd Efird 92, of 4399 Gaddy's Ferry Road, died October 18, 2001 at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.
Funeral is 3 PM Saturday at Cottonville Baptist Church, with Reverend Reece Linnell and Reverend Marvin Huneycutt officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM tonight at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mrs. Efird was a native of Stanly County, daughter of the late Irenius and Mary Jane Huneycutt Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband Grady Jacob Efird, a son, William H. Efird, and three grandchildren. She was a homemaker, and a member of Cottonville Baptist Church.
Survivors include seven sons, Price and Lewis Efird, both of Albemarle, Jack, Gary and Floyd Lee Efird, all of Norwood, Gene Efird of Mt. Gilead and Harvol Efird of Cheraw, SC; two daughters, Judy E. Morton of Albemarle and Cassie E. Eddins of Cheraw, SC; one brother, Tom R. 'Buck' Floyd of Norwood; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Edwards Funeral Home is in charge.
