MARIETTA, Ga. - Mrs. Myrtle G. Sheffield passed away November 5, 2011.
She was born in Screven County, Georgia, was a business woman, gardener and church volunteer who adored her family.
Her parents were the late Joe and Mabel Oglesby Godbee
Her survivors include, Her husband, Von Sheffield of Marietta, Daughters and Son-in-Law, Donna Sheffield of Marietta, Sharon S. and Mickey Weil of Atlanta, Son and Daughter-in-Law, Mark and Lisa Sheffield of Marietta, Grandchildren, Zachary Sheffield, Weston Weil, Hunter Sheffield, Abbey Weil, and Callie Sheffield, Sisters, Barbara G. Boyd of Sylvania, and Evelyn G. Cooper of Augusta, Brothers, Roy Godbee and Melbourne Godbee both of Sylvania and several Nieces and Nephews.
A memorial service will be held today at 11 am at the Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
An additional service will be held 11/9/2011, at 11 A.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
