John F. Huepenbecker
---John F. Huepenbecker, age 66, of 20580 F Drive North, died Monday at Oaklawn Hospital.
---Mr. Huepenbecker was born May 11, 1917 in Eckford Township to William and Sophia (Schwartz) Huepenbecker. He lived in Eckford Township until moving to Marengo Township in 1943. He was married February 22, 1938 to Harriet D. Clark. He farmed most of his life and was formerly employed with Kellogg's of Battle Creek and Corning Glass of Albion from 1953-1955. For eight years he was a substitute rural mail carrier and for 30 years was an independent insurance agent and real estate broker. He retired in May of 1982. Since retirement he has pursued his interest in antiques and music, hobbies he has enjoyed since age 14.
---Mr. Huepenbecker was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Central Michigan Antique Tractor and Engine Club, the Calhoun County Agriculture-Industrial Society (CCAIS), the Marshall Moose Lodge No. 676 and the Michigan Fiddlers Association. He formerly belonged to the Litchfield Antique Tractor Club, Wilder Creek Conservation Club, the Mar Lee School Board when the present school was built in 1964.
---Surviving are his wife, Harriet, Marshall; 2 sons; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one son, John Huepenbecker in 1944, one granddaughter, Rebecca Huepenbecker in 1976 and one brother, Howard Huepenbecker.
---Funeral Services[sic} will be held Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Court-Putnam Funeral Home with Rev. Maurice G. Shackell of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may make memorial contributions to the Zion Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the Court-Putnam Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery.
