Lawrence W. Huepenbecker, 94, of Allen Township died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in The Laurels of Coldwater. He was born May 26, 1906, in Sterling, ILL, to Ernest William and Sophie (Swartz) Huepenbecker. He was a lifelong area resident and a farmer. He married Agnes Tobalski on June 10, 1933 in Marshall. She died in 1989. He also was preceded in death by three brothers; and a sister.

Surviving are sons, William and Jerry Huepenbecker, both of Allen, and Richard Huepenbecker of Mio; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph Huepenbecker of Georgia and Henry Huepenbecker of Raleigh, N.C.; and a sister, Hazel Dobbertein of Marshall.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at St. John-White Funeral Home, Reading. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will be in South Allen Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
