John Habuda 88, of Raleigh, died Friday, April 30, 2010 at Duke Raleigh Hospital.
John was born October 14, 1921 in Scranton, PA to Demetrius and Mary Habuda. He was draftsman engineer with Westinghouse Meter Division in Raleigh, retiring with over 30 years of service. John was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
He was preceded in death by his three sisters.
John is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pauline Habuda; daughter, Meredith Beasley and her husband James of Willow Spring; sons, John Michael Habuda and his wife Joyce of Wake Forest; Lonnie Habuda of Zebulon; and Herbert Perry and his wife Candy of Raleigh; seven grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 5000 Leadmine Road, Raleigh, NC 27612. Entombment will follow the service at the Historic Oakwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, May 3rd at the church with a Trisaigon service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
