Avo Denton,77,South Magnolia St.,Tompkinsville,died at the Monroe Health Center Facility,after an extended illness. She was a member of the Mt. Gilead Church of Christ.
Born in Monroe County,she was the daughter of the late Adolph Grace and the wife of the late Grover Denton.
She is survived by five sons-Bedford and Delbert Denton,Columbus, Ind.,James Denton,Scottsville;Fowler and Darrell Denton,Tompkinsville;three daughters-Marie Roddy,Martinsville, Ind.;Irene Denton and Molene Walker,Tompkinsville;one brother,Lindsey Grace,Bowling Green;one sister,Missie Pennington,Tompkinsville,and 25 grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel Saturday morning,August 11,with Bro. Gerald Watt officiating Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Joe Lee Walker, Kevin Denton,Ronnie Denton,Danny Denton,Jimmy Denton and Don Roddy.
