COLUMBIA, Quentin, 92, husband of Frieda Hornsby Columbia, died Thurs. Nov. 3, 2011.

Born April 14, 1919 in Midway, he was the son of the late Charles and Jessie Hatfield Columbia. Mr. Columbia, a Christian by faith, was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and a retired Chief of Office Operations for the VA Hospital.

Survivors other than his wife include a son, Larry H. (Linda) Columbia, Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Teresa (Greg) Stahr, Lawrenceburg, Ky. and Greta (Dale) Herr, Cincinnati, Ohio; six grandchildren, Lisa Columbia, Amy Goodenough, Jeff Stahr, Emily Malone, Anna Rueff, and Matt Herr; four great grandchildren; one sister, Joyce Hayes, of Lexington, KY; and
special friends from Harrodsburg Rd - McDonalds.

There will be visitation on Tues., Nov. 8, from 11:30 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 12:30 p.m. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

Special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr., Lex., KY 40504.
