Calvin "Red" Columbia, 74, of Versailles, husband of Ann Columbia, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home, Lawrenceburg.

Born in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Jessie Hatfield Columbia.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Patricia Craig McDaniel, Versailles, and Lou Bowman, Lawrenceburg; four sons, Calvin Columbia Jr., Frankfort, Jesse Robert Craig, Millville, Mark Allen Craig, Tyrone, and Norman Craig, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Joyce Hays and Netty Kimbrell, Lexington; a brother, Quentin Columbia, Lexington; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Services were conducted Tuesday, May 28, 2002, at the Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, Versailles, by the Rev. Tom Hinkle and Chaplain Mike Harris. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Wes McDaniel, Norman Craig, David Hayes, Tim Collins, Mark Craig Sr., and Jim Jarman. Honorary bearers were Bobby Cummins and Shane Cummins.
