Ollie Bell, the third child of the late Agnes Owens Bell and Elbert Bell, was born in Starkville, Mississippi on March 21, 1885. The family moved to Kosciusko when he was quite small, and he obtained all of his education at Sam Young Public School. At an early age, he joined the First Baptist M. B. Church.

He was married to Ester Kern in 1906. To this union, one daughter was born. They both preceded him in death. On October 10, 1917, he was married to Miss Annie Lee Moore to this union 13 children were born, and two preceded him in death.

He was a well-known fireman, he fired on 1 boiler from 1916 to 1950. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father.

He departed this life Sunday, October 31, 1965, at 7:40 A.M.

He leaves to mourn his passing a devoted wife; 4 sons, Ollie, Jr., of Detroit, Michigan; Clarence Melvin of Chicago, Illinois; Fletcher Demorris and Luther Frederick of Kosciusko, Mississippi; 1 step-son, James Gaston of Kosciusko, Mississippi; 7 daughters, Annie Dorothy Reynolds, Frances Royster, Ruby Laura Lee, Myra Jackson, all of Chicago, Illinois; Mary Evelyn Toombs and Eileen Coleman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Doris Gladney of Kosciusko, Mississippi; 49 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ebb Bell of Saint Louis, Missouri; and L. A. Bell of Kosciusko, Mississippi; 1 sister, Mrs. Elma Holsey of Kosciusko, Mississippi; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
