Mrs. Annie Lee Moore Bell, daughter of the late Laura Howell and Fletcher Moore was born January 31, 1894 in the Smyrna Community of Attala County.

When she was eight years old, she came to Kosciusko to live with her aunt and uncle Angeline and Joe Bayne and remained with them until she married.

She received her education at Central Mississippi College, known then as K.I.C.

She was married to Will Gaston in 1913. To this union one son was born, James Willie (Booster).

In 1917 she was married to Ollie Bell. To this union, thirteen children were born, nine girls and four boys. Two girls and one boy preceded her in death; (Christine, Leola Sebena, and Luther Fredrick).

She became a beautician at the age of 18 and worked for 65 years. For many years she served as secretary of the Mississippi Independent Beautician Association.

She became a Christian at the age of 13 joined the First Baptist Church and began her work in Christ's kingdom. She was a loyal and faithful member and never refused a task because she was already too busy or because she was too tired.

During her membership, she served in the following capacities: Directress of B.T.U., Leader of Junior Church, President of Senior Choir, Secretary of Senior Choir, pianist, Secretary of Missionary Society, Secretary of Pastor's Aid, Red Circle Leader, Teacher of Adult Women's Bible Class and Chairman of the Courtesy Committee.

She ended her busy life, Saturday evening, 5 o'clock, April 4, 1981, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory seven girls; Annie Dorothy Reynolds, Ruby Laura Lee, Myra Smith; Chicago, Illinois; Francis Royster, Mary E. Toombs, Ilean B. Coleman; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Doris Gladney, Kosciusko, Mississippi; four sons, James Willie (Booster), Fletcher Demorris (Sam), Kosciusko, Mississippi; Ollie Bell, Jr., Detroit, Michigan; Clarence Melvin, Chicago, Illinois; four daughters-in-law, six sons-in-law; 52 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one sister; Mrs. Emma Lee Herbert. San Francisco, California; one brother; Webster Moore, Kosciusko, Mississippi; 9 nieces, 7 nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

God made a wonderful mother, A mother who never grows old, He made her smile of the sunshine, And he molded her heart of pure gold. In her eyes He placed bright shinning stars, In her cheeks, fair roses you see; God mode a wonderful mother, And He gave that dear mother to me.
