Mildred E. Moore, 62 of 702 S. Lake St., South Amherst, died Tuesday in Lorain Community Hospital after a 2 1/2 year illness.
Born in Oberlin, she was a life-long area resident. She was a housekeeper at Lorain Community Hospital.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in South Amherst and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Amherst.
Surviving are daughters; Mrs. Willard (Barbara) Hill, of south Amherst, and Mrs. Gerald (Darlene) Zelina, of Lorain; step-sons David of South Amherst and Gerald of Amherst; five granddaughters, three great grandsons; sisters Mrs. William (Roberta) Cooper of Amherst, June Pike of Lorain, and Mrs. Gerald (Juanita) Currier of Elyria; brothers Glenn Feakins of Anaheim, Calif., Herbert Feakins of Vermilion and Darrell Feakins of Lorain.
She was preceded in death by husbands Andrew Dudash in 1960 and David Moore in 1974.
Friends may call 2-4 today and 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Thursday at the Hempel Funeral Home, where services will be at 11 A.M. Friday with the Rev. Claude Kelly officiating.
Burial will be in evergreen Cemetery in South Amherst.

Mildred's biological father, James William Heighland passed away in 1917 and her mother married Glenn Orlo Feakins in 1922. He raised her as his own and when she was old enough to understand, he gave her the option of him adopting her but she wanted to keep her biological fathers name. He always treated her as his own child.
