LEXINGTON: MARGARET KISLING ELLIOTT, 91, of Lexington passed away Thursday November 3, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born September 7, 1920 in Bellville to John and Lucy (Walker) Kisling. She was graduated from Lexington High School in 1938 and Mansfield General Hospital School of Nursing in 1941.

Margaret was employed in the office of Dr.'s F.J. Heringhaus, D.N. Beddard and F. Behi. She was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church and served on the church building committee, the church being dedicated in 1970. She was a member of Beta Kappa Tau Sorority, Mansfield General Hospital's Nurses Alumni, Forems Club-a Retirement Club of MedCentral, American Legion Post #16 Auxiliary and Lexington Senior Center.

On November 19, 1943 she married James C. Elliott and the two wintered in Bradenton, Florida for 20 years.

Margaret enjoyed reading and all kinds of needle work. Earlier in life, Margaret and James enjoyed golfing together.

She is survived by her son Thomas (Billie Jo) Elliott of Lexington; son-in-law Gregory Heller of Lexington; three grandchildren Jennifer (Joseph) Greene, Heidi Wilson, and Jason Elliott; sister-in-law Ruth Kisling of Mansfield; special niece Karen Palmer, nephews Keith (Susan) Kisling and Gordon Kisling; brothers-in-law Charles (Wilma) Elliott and Jack (Georgia) Elliott; nine great-grandchildren; two step- granddaughters Angel Jacobs and Kassie (Jarrod) Barber; six step-great-grandchildren. Additional nieces and nephew James Smith, Mary Ellen (Bob) Tobin-Ostrander, Char (Tom) Yetzer, Susan (Keith) Kisling, Dawn (Pat) LaSusa, Diane (Steve) Andrews.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband James C. Elliott on February 3, 2002, daughter Kimbarli Heller and brother Jason Kisling.

The Elliott family will receive friends Sunday November 6, 2011 from 1-4 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where her funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor TJ Waters will officiate. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions to Ontario United Methodist Church or Hospice of North Central Ohio may be made through the funeral home.
