Horton (born 1855, died of consumption 1885), and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Horton (born 1857, married James Triplette Caldwell in 1878, died in 1935).
In 1868, Matthias and his step-daughter Mary Whitmill had a baby, Frederick Horton, born Jul 2, 1868. Matthias and Mary had married 18 Feb. 1868. Leaving the baby behind with Mary's mother (Matthias's now ex-wife), Matthias and Mary went to Iowa, where they raised a quite large family. Baby Fred grew up with his half siblings in IL (who were also his aunt and uncle).
