Mr. John Howard Crow (Crowdaddy), age 92, of Killen, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2002.Mr. Crow was a member of Killen United Methodist Church. He was the oldest member of Iron Workers Local No. 477 and was a Mason.He is preceded in death by his wife, Louise Crow; sister, Mildred Stutts; brother, Boyce Crow; parents, W.C. and Mattie Lee McCabe Crow; and grandson, John Gordon.The family received friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel in Center Star. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Killen United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Al Geise and the Rev. Jack Hendricks officiating. Mr. Crow will lie in state from 2 until 2:30. Burial will follow at Killen Cemetery. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.Mr. Crow is survived by his daughters, Janet Gordon and husband, Dick, Brenda Pettus and husband, Ronald, Johnnie Parker and husband, Wayne, Mary Ann Hamner and husband, Roger, all of Killen, Nancy Tanner and husband, Richard, of Frankfort, Ky.; son, Charles Crow and wife, Cherion, of Florence; sisters, Ellen Burns and Ethel Roberts; brother, Leslie Crow; grandchildren, Stacey Hendricks, Todd Parker, Jonathan Pettus, Matthew Pettus, Joel Hamner, Wesley Hamner, Rebecca Martin, Emily Foster, Laura Kizzire, John Charles Crow; and 15 great-grandchildren.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals or to Killen United Methodist Church.
