In October 1948 he married Reva Jacobson, and they would have celebrated their 60th anniversary this year. Together they raised four children Clifford, twins, Janice and Bradley, and Tracy. He is survived by his wife, Reva; Clif and Dolores Sellers, and their sons, Jason and Brennan, Jan and Russ Burnham, and their sons, Blake and Trent; Brad Sellers, and his sons, Trevor, Sam and Peter; and Tracy and Jon Herfindahl, and their daughter Shannon.
Bob was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) and very active in the church. He was also a long time leader in the Boy Scouts, serving both local troops and at the district level. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening and walking. Following his retirement, he and Reva, often with other family, were able to travel visiting most of the United States, Europe, Mexico and Canada.
Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Bob's memory can do so to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints missionary fund, the Boy Scouts of America, the Alzheimer's Association, or other charitable organization serving community youth.
A Visitation will be held at the Newton Bracewell Funeral Home on Thursday, August 28, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, East Avenue West and Alamo Avenue, Chico at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2008 with burial at Glen Oaks Cemetery to follow.
