Sadie I Ege, 91, Monroe Township, died Sunday at the Forest Park Nursing Home.
She was born Dec 5, 1887 in Monroe Township and lived her entire life in the same house. She and her husband, the late Stewart T Ege, were engaged in farming and operated a stand at the old farmers market and the Wrightstone Market for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Church of the Brethren, where she was a former teacher of the Alpha Sunday School Class for many years, and a member of the women's fellowship and Bible study groups.
Surviving are two sons, A Homer Ege and John S Ege, both of Carlisle; two daughters, Irene Shearer, Baltimore, and Kathryn Loy, Carlisle; a sister, Grace Crow, Hampton, Va, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday at the First Church of the Brethren with the Rev Richard F Shreckhise officiating.
Burial will be in the Bakers Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 N Hanover St, Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and at the Church Wednesday 1 to 2 pm
