Stewart T Ege, RD6, died on Saturday evening at his home. He was 75 years old.
Mr Ege was the son of the late William H and Emma Slusser Ege. He was a retired farmer and lived at the same address for 52 years. He had attended both the old Carlisle Market and the Wrightstone Market since 1910. He and his wife celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1960. He was a member of the First Church of the Brethren and the Adult Bible Class.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Sadie Homer Ege; two sons, A Homer Ege and John S Ege, both of MR, York Road, Carlisle; two daughters, Mrs Earl R Shearer, Baltimore, Md, and Mrs Oscar W Loy, Carlisle; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Robert and Charles Ege, both of Carlisle, and two sisters, Mrs Margaret Lilley, Muncy, and Mrs Carrie E McCabe, Carlisle.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm in the First Church of the Brethren, Walnut and West streets. Rev Kenneth L Miller and Rev George C Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in the Bakers Church Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow evening at the Hoffman Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover Street, and on Wednesday from 1 to 2 pm at the church.
