Charles Edward "Ed" Traughber, 78, of Cedar Hill, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2005 at his home. Funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday (today) at St. Michael Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tom Bielawa serving as Celebrant. Internment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
Mr. Traughber was born Oct. 10, 1927, in Robertson County, to the late Richard G. and Mary Jane Adams Traughber.
He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Unarco.
In addition to his parents, four brothers, Francis Traughber, Maurice Traughber, Garland Traughber, and Cecil Traughber, and two sisters, Marie Hunter, and Theresa Bancho, preceeded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Lillie Marie Traughber of Cedar Hill; eight sons, Charles Traughber, of LaFayette, Lynn Traughber of Hendersonville, Michael Traughber of Winneka, Calif., Eddie Traughber of Greenbrier, John Traughber of Cedar Hill, Bruce Traughber of Springfield, Paul Traughber of Murfreesboro, and Jeff Traughber of Cedar Hill; three daughters, Mary Mantlow of Springfield, Darlene Johnson of Adams and Dana Cohea of Cedar Hill; a brother, Clarence Traughber of Amarillo, Texas; four sisters, Dorothy Nalepa of Erie, PA., Alice Emrick of Phoenix, Ariz., Meb Crosman of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jo Norris of Russelville, KY.; 22 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
