DEATH OF WM. A. GUIOU.
William Alfred Guiou passed away Saturday evening at 9:30 at his home Saturday evening at 9:30 at his home on South Wheeler Avenue after an illness extending over a year. Mr. Guiou had been sick with paralysis and heart trouble and the end came peacefully, with quite a few of the relatives at his bedside.

Mr. Guiou was born July 11, 1837, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was educated there in what was known as the Farmer's college, a notable educational institution. He was a member of the firm of John Bonte Sons & Co., and resided in Cincinnati and later in Kentucky, where he was still working in the interests of the firm. Mr. Buiou was married in Cincinnati to Miss Isabel Baldwin, who was also born and reared in that city. In the year 1891 the family came to Grand Island to reside and Mr. Guiou had charge of the Chicago Lumber Co. here, and in later years has done clerical work in public offices of the city and at the sugar factory, being always faithful in his duties.

Besides his devoted wife there are four children to mourn their father's loss. They are: Mrs. O. D. Wright, Mrs. Charles McElroy, Alfred Guiou of Victor, Colo., and Clifford Guiou of Rockford, Colo. A private service will be held at the house and the usual obsequies at St. Stephen's Episcopal church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
