Gertrude Hall Fisher the daughter of John and Mary Hall, was born near Nashua, Iowa on August 16, 1877 and passed away in her sleep at the Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City, Iowa. January 21, 1968, at the age of ninety years, five months, and five days.

She was united in marriage to Lester Fisher on August 18, 1896. Seven children were born to them, of whom five survive.

She was the last survivor of her immediate family having been preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Two of her children have died. Wava Barter on April 11, 1959, at Eugene, Oregon and Roy on May 31, 1960, at Davenport, Iowa. After sixty four years of married life, her husband preceded her in death on June 22, 1961.

Surviving children are Lloyd Fisher of Ionia, Victor Fisher of Nashua, Mrs. John (Verna) Cagley of Nashua, Mrs. Carl (Bernice) Riiho of Coos Bay, Oregon and Mrs W. M. (Margery) Smith of Aurora, Oregon (she being unable to attend the service).

She leaves eleven grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
