Mrs. Oleva Jane Witherup, 83, of 470 Broad St., New Bethlehem, died yesterday at Brookville Hospital.
Born July 4, 1890 in Punxsutawney, she was a daughter of Thomas and Christine (Ketzel) Haggerty.
She was a member of St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, New Bethlehem and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She married Foster L. Witherup June 16, 1918, who died before her.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Elizabeth) Plauny of New Bethlehem; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Sampson of Charlestone, W. Va., Mrs. Elizabeth McKenney of Olmsted Falls, Ohio and Mrs. Kathryn Armagost of Reynoldsville; three brothers Hugh (Rube) of Reynoldsville, Andrew of Indiana, Pa., and John of Curtis Bay, Md. and four grandchildren.
Friends of Mrs. Oleva Jane Witherup, who died Dec. 14, 1973, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow at Robert F. Mateer Funeral Home, New Bethlehem. Funeral services will be at 10 am. Monday at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, New Bethlehem, with the Rev. Edward Bula, church pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery. Arrangements by Mateer
