Son of Joseph and Mary (Brown) Otto, an early pioneer family in McKean County, Pennsylvania. Albert G. Otto married Mary "Polly" Montgomery in 1836 in Ashtabula County, Ohio. They resided in McKean County, Pennsylvania in 1840, 50 and 60. In 1870 they were enumerated in Nebraska.
