Ralph Kampa, age 84, of Foley, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Parish prayers will be at 5 pm followed by the Knight's of Columbus Rosary at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.

Ralph Kampa was born February 19, 1927 in St. George Township, Benton County to Louis and Viola (Fisher) Kampa. He married Celestine 'Sally' Nickols on June 18, 1951 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Elrosa, MN. Ralph grew up and farmed with his dad in St. George Township for many years before going to work as a trucker. Ralph worked for several trucking companies including, Sakry Gravel; Bauerly Brothers; Stearns Dairy Milk Co.; Barbarossa Construction and Centra Sota and also for his brother, Joseph Kampa Trucking. His greatest love was farming. He enjoyed playing cards, Polka music, bowling and driving tractor. Ralph was a fun-loving man with a great sense of humor and had many friends. He was a life-long member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the St. Lawrence Knight's of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Sally, Foley and son and daughter; Kevin, Foley and Kim (Kevin) Stachowski, Foley and grandchildren, Jennifer, John, Joshua, Alysha and great grandchildren, Lilly and Thor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joe and sister, Luella Gapinski.
