Mr. Lucas had been an employee of the Ball Brothers Co. since 1907, beginning work there as a carry-in boy at the age of nine.
Surviving are the widow, Reba; a daughter, Miss Louvena Lucas at home; a son, Carl Jr., of Muncie, and a grandson, Gary Lee of Muncie; five sisters, Miss Hazel Lucas of Indianapolis, Mrs. Jeannette Bramble of San Bruno, Calif., Mrs. Russell Miller of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Pearl Holt and Mrs. Cecil Holt, both of Munie; and a hslf-brother, Ray Gaines, of Portland, Ore.
The body was removed to the Parson Mortuary, with funeral arrangements to be announced later.
