Last rites for Hilda Lamar Pilcher, 70, of Warner Robins, who died Saturday night in Warner Robins, were scheduled at 2:30 p.m. Monday from Shiloh Baptist Church in Sumter County with the Rev. D. P. Ward officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Pilcher was a native and lifelong resident of Americus before moving to Warner Robins one year ago. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Pilcher and Mrs. Mary Griffin Pilcher. He was a member of the Sumter County Farm Bureau, Shiloh Baptist Church, and the Fidelis Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sallie Lee Lansford Pilcher, of Warner Robins; two daughter, Mrs. Helen Cody. Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Spencer Dean, Athens; two sons, W. Wayne Pilcher, Athens, and Dr. B. Lamar Pilcher, Warner Robins; seven sisters, Mrs. Thelma Bell, Mrs. Lois Peacock, Mrs. Tucker Rush, and Mrs. Lucy Gardner, all of Americus, Mrs. Frank Bell, Lakeland, Ga., Mrs. E. W. Holloway, Hartwell, and Mrs. Imogene Kitchens, Thomaston; two brothers, Robert Lee Pilcher, Americus, and William Griffin Pilcher, Crescent City, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
Pallbearers included the following nephews: Robert Pilcher, Samuel Pilcher, Earnest Lee, David Wyatt, Bobby Dodson, and Dr. Billy Holloway.
Reese Park Chapel of Americus was in charge of arrangements.
