Funeral services for Avis Carroll, age 70 will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 17, 2010, with interment to follow at Mount Olive Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Billy Wilson and Rev. Steve Hardeman will officiate.

Mrs. Carroll was born on February 28, 1940 in Wrightsville, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Otis and Mattie Mae Smith Foskey. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Remus Foskey. She and her husband Jack would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on December 3rd. She was a member of Dublin Church of God. She was retired and a homemaker. Mrs. Carroll passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by her loving husband, Jack Carroll, of Dublin, 3 daughters, Margie (Roy) Moore, of Scott, Teresa Carroll, of Dudley, and Tammy (Buster) Johnson, of Glennville, 5 brothers, Daniel (Christine) Foskey, of Warner Robins, Homer (JoAnn) Foskey, of Anna, IL, Earl (Wanda) Foskey, of Dublin, Thurmon (Thelma) Foskey, of Dublin, and Troy (Faye) Foskey, of Oconee, 2 sisters, Nadine(W.H.) Smith, of Wrightsville, and Hazel (Jimmy) Johnson, of Vidalia, a sister-in-law, Lena Foskey, of Dry Branch, and 6 grandchildren, Regina Moore, Reggie Moore, Caleb Williams, Caitlee Williams, Joshua Johnson, and Mason Johnson.
