Son of Foster and Mary Ann Tanner Boatwright, husband of Annie Barwick.


MARION Alonzo B. Boatwright, 59, died at his home here lat night after an illness of several weeks. He had been in ill health for about three months but last week became much worse. Mr. Boatwright had lived in Marion all his life and was a member of one of Marion County's largest families. He was a lumberman by trade.

His widow and five children survive. Two daughters, Vera Boatwright and Hazel Boatwright, both of Marion; three sons, Royce Boatwright, Harris Boatwright and Hoyt Boatwright, all of Marion; two brothers, E. W. Boatwright and Melvin Boatwright, both of Marion; and one sister, Mrs. G. M. Hennecy of Marion.

Funeral services in charge of the Rev. E. L. McCoy, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Marion, were conducted at the home this afternoon with interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
