MARION - Melvin M. Boatwright, 88, native of Marion County, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in a Florence nursing home. His wife, the former Florence Shaw, died several years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday from Smith Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Eddie Munn. Burial will be in Tabernacle Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. W. M. Page of Marion; two sons, the Rev. E. B. Boatwright of Jefferson and Fred Boatwright of Marion; eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
