A retired mechanical engineer, he was a member of the Dunnellon American Legion, Ohio Rainbow Division of Veterans Association, West Mansfield (Ohio) Masonic Lodge, Hope Lutheran Church, Portage Lakes, Ohio, and was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors: widow, Josephine; daughter, Mrs. Patricia Sexauer, Wadsworth, Ohio; brother, Vernon, Akron, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Ruby Wiltus, Bellefontaine, Ohio, five grandchildren.
