C. S. Allen Funeral at Pleasant Grove Friday.
Death came suddenly to Charlie S. Allen, age 53 years, at his home in the Pleasant Grove Community on Wednesday, March 3rd. The deceased was born and reared in Chambers County and his death came as a distinct shock to his friends throughout the county.
Funeral service was held at the Pleasant Grove Church, with the Rev. G. D. Hunt and Elder L. M. Parrish officiating. Interment was in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with the J. E. Cutler, LaFayette funeral director, in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were sons of the deceased, Emory, James, Robert, Woodrow and Denson Allen, and a brother, Paul Allen.
Surviving are a widow, Mrs. Odessa Champion Allen; five sons, Emory, James, Robert, Woodrow and Denson; three daughters, Catherine, Lucile and Lena Mae, and three brothers, Paul, Wayne and Albert Allen.
