∼I am the granddaughter of John Harrison Sears, Pati Sears-Burnett. This man was the most kind man I have ever known in my entire life. He was a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was a schoolteacher on Brown's Creek in 1912/15 and after his first wife, Rosa Amelia Shelton died of Typhoid he went to work in the mines because you could make a dollar more a week. He then married Fannie Golden and that marriage ended in divorce in 1933 and in 1934 he married my Grandmother, Martha Patsy Cox. There are not enough words for me to even try to help you understand how much I loved this man. This picture I am posting is his grave and his Great Great Grandchildren Jordan and Katie MacDonald, he would have loved them so much!
