L A Barnett, 81, died Tuesday March 17 at the home of his son, James Barnett, on Cullman Route 5. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, March 18, at New Home church at 2pm with Rev J S Schults officiating assisted by Rev Virgil Sizemore. Drinkard is in charge of interment in the adjoining cemetery. [He & Virgil Sizemore were 1st cousins, 1 generation removed.]
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs Dona Culver; five sons, Monroe, Fred, James, Edward, and Homer Barnett; one brother, Charles Barnett.
