Madeline Lawson age 71 of Belton formerly of Green Ridge, died on Thursday December 18, 2008 at the Belton Research Hospital. She was born August 19, 1937 in Stover, Mo daughter of Willis Lee and Gertie Whittle Monteer.

She was married to Earl E. Lawson on Jan. 13, 1956 in Sedalia and he died on April 8, 1999. She then married Richard Middleton on Aug. 19, 2006 in Green Ridge and he survives.

She worked at Rival Mgf. CO for twenty-seven years retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Green Ridge Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge 1492 in Sedalia. She loved to travel.

She is survived by one son; David Lawson and his wife Pam of Houstonia, one daughter Betty Bartlett and her husband Mike of Sedalia, two sisters; Willa Mae Lowry of Oklahoma, Frances Dean Tucker of Sedalia, four brothers; Milford Monteer of La Monte, Larry Monteer of Trenton, Earl Monteer of Sedalia, Everett Monteer of Sedalia, six grandchildren; Leanna, Lisa, Nicole, Derek, Kelia, Leslie, three great grandchildren; Raline, David, Kaylin.

She is preceded by one daughter; Kelia E. Lawson, one sister; Lela Monteer, three brothers; Ralph Monteer, Winford Monteer, Loren Monteer, and her parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M. Monday at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Talley officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Bartlett, Brandon Richardson, Brett Martin, Jorrell Quint, Scott Phillips, Mike Middleton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
