Joseph Donald McCraw, 71, of Laurel died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church in Jones County with burial to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Eddie Bryant and Rev. Jimmy Holder will officiate. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Friday. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Thursday at Memory Chapel of Laurel.
Mr. McCraw worked in the Coating Department at Masonite Corporation prior to retirement, and was a member of Tuckers Crossing Baptist Church. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserve and MS National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. McCraw and Nellie Permenter McCraw; brothers Jerry, Roger and Edwin McCraw; and one sister-in-law, Faye McCraw.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Joan Crawford McCraw; and two sons, Charles Edward McCraw and Joseph Darren McCraw and wife Mechelle, all of Laurel; daughter Joan McDuffie and husband Chris of Moselle; grandchildren Heather McGraw, Kayla Sherman, Zachary McGraw, Christina McDuffie, Dayton McCraw, Collin McCraw, Kirkland McDuffie and Jacob McCraw; three great-grandchildren, Anna, Ashlynn and Hunter McGraw; brother Richard McCraw and wife Marsha of Philadelphia; sisters-in-law Mary Nell McCraw and Linda McCraw; a host of nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Randall Coker, Chris McDuffie, Kirkland McDuffie, Keith Gatlin, Dayton McCraw and Robert McDuffie.
