Memorial services for Marlin G. Baer, 70, of La Mesa, will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Glen Abbey Mortuary. Private burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Park. He died Thursday in a hospital.
Mr. Baer, a native of Kansas, lived in the county 27 years. He had been a teacher and track coach at Grossmont High School for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; four daughters, Connie Baer, Diane Baer, Lynn Baer and Yvonne Vellone, all of La Mesa; two sons, Brad of La Mesa and Greg of Lakeside; a sister, Glenna Underhill of Kansas; two brothers, Wane of Kansas and Virg of Texas; and four
grandchildren. The family suggested donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
